All of those adjectives is how I would describe Sunday. I turned 29. What a day it was. I don’t have much to say other than the very definition of “wonderful”.
We have lived in Oklahoma for 3 1/2 years and had not yet visited Oklahoma City’s Myriad Botanical Gardens. This is why my birthday was truly “wonderful”. The rain held off just for us. Up and down the steps we went sharing about our dreams for creating our own little “oasis” at home. AJ was drawing up plans in his head and using his hands to describe what he saw as we walked.
Our next stop was a favorite pizza place of mine. We only go here a few times a year, so it is a real treat! We then made our way over to the Science Museum to see the new traveling exhibit of “Sherlock Homes”. What an adventure this was! We spent three hours in this exhibit learning about the inspiration behind the character, the author, and his amazing work. The later half of the exhibit was a “solve the crime” experience. Another wonderful delight!
We finished the day with a gluten free chocolate cake and “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” on TV. I soaked my feet in salts while enjoying the story of Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy in the enchanting land of Narnia. I couldn’t help but be so grateful for 29 years.
